i am a 6' 170lb., righthanded, high school junior. i am wondering how hard you have to throw to play division 1 baseball. i throw 83-85mph with a quality curve and change, is this enough to get i d1 scholarship?

You speed for HS junior is fine --I would expect that by the time you are closing out your HS career you will be an 85 top 87 MPH pitcher on a regular basis provided you continue to work diligently on your game
BUT
You need to get batters out as well-- the path to the bigs is littered with arms who threw 90 plus but could not get batters out--- you need to be a pitcher as well to move to the next level
