I know, I know, everyone wants to soften it and break it in. Well, my son wanted a new glove (Louisville H2 Hybrid) and has discovered right away that the leather at the top of the webbing is very flimsy (sorry Louisville, but it's true). Hard hit balls or hard throws are popping into the web and the upper web is then 'giving', almost 'rolling' back instead of holding firm.

Can't afford to rush out and get a different glove, and feel that if we can find a way to toughen and stiffen the leather in the web it will be fine.

Any suggestions? Salt brine? A layer of Gorilla Glue? Carbon Nanotubes?
