I am not familiar with this complete story, but I applaud the young man for fighting back. I'm sure that is one of the things that make him a good pitcher.

In reading this I can't help but think about Josh Hamilton and the troubles he has gone through. I hope that both of these young men can win both at life and baseball.

The basic summary was that he was involved with the drug Oxicontin(?) or OC during HS and after he was drafted.

There was speculation that locals were covering up his drug problems, cost his HS coach his job. There was more speculation about his involvement in his roommate's heroin o.d. during spring training last year.

According to what I've read OC is harder to kick than heroin so I hope he's straghtened out, lots of kids don't get a second chance.
