Bear may I ask what you got going on in Zebulon? First of all very small town but nice. Located near US 64 and 264. Its 25 mintues or so from Raleigh. The Mudcats play there , very nice ball park.

If your going to be in Zebulon there are a buch of eating establishments right there at US 64. If you down US 96 which is the overpass at 64 there is a great country place to eat that is great. The local folks can point you to it. Of course Raleigh is right there. Durham is just about an hour or so away with the Durham Bulls.

Just down 264 about an hour away is ECU in Greenville if you want to take in a ball game or the town. I pass through Zeb's Lawn many times a year. Going to Rocky Mount , Greenville and to Mount Olive college which is not too far from there.
Its nice Bear. Knightdale is between Raleigh and Zebulon not a bad drive at all. The Country Hearth Inn is nice you will like it. Let me know when you have the dates and are coming down I will check out a couple of games with you. Maybe we can take in a game or two if the Durham Bulls are in town while you are here. Its a pretty quick drive to Durham from Knightdale.

Great idea.

I will probably start the trip the night before by attending the
Frederick Keys vs Potomac Nationals (Sally League) in Frederick.

I will spring for seats in Zublon at Five County Stadium for Friday June 11....
provided you get the adult beverage, popcorn and hot dogs Smile
(although I have been on bottled water, cottage cheese, carrots and yogurt since February).

Don't know yet if a couple of coaches will be traveling, however I may also travel solo.
There is an ol friend 'Specs", who just remarried (and yes a good looking 25 y.o, so I heard),
and he moved to North Carolina, in that area .....somewhere. Jack is also a baseball fan,
so he may show (and if he does, he would be springing for lobster and steak....somewhere)
Hey Specs...if you are reading this, check in
and get the idea!. Smile

Coach May, will you be bringing anybody?

I'll spring for Saturday seats at Carolina vs Huntsville, if necessary, yet could
be back on the road on Sunday morning (headed to Jacksonville)....
...so maybe on the rebound, stop off in Durham.

I see what I can do about a couple of Southern League baseballs.
(I seem to like to collect MiLB over the years!)

Almost had to have a ball park dog at Shipley / Terpville last night!
It's always nice to chat with Head Coach Jancuska (UMBC) and Asst Coach Mumma
before the ball game.

I am looking forward to it.
