We won our game today 12-4 over the SD Gamers to win our pool and advance in the championship pools.

Congrats to the IL teams Bullets & Hurricanes - winners of their respective pools. Sparks and Tier still have a chance to win their pools pending the later games. Nonetheless, great showing by all.

Good Luck the rest of the way .... the updates are appreciated.

Top Tier also advances in the winners bracket with a 4-2 win today. Eric Wyman goes 7 and throws a 2 or 3 hitter.

We lost 8-1 to the East Cobb Astros. The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth and then the wheels came off.

Bullets win 10-2 this morning and play at 7 tonight. We might have a shot at the final 16 we win.

Tier goes 1-1-1 in the playoff pool and beat the McHenry County Hurricanes 9-1 in 6 innings this morning.

Travel all the way to Marietta and end up playing a team from your own back yard. I hate when that happens!

12 hour drive door to door from Marietta and I feel very lucky. I expected it to last 14+.

Great time in Georgia. TT ended the week with a record of 3 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties. In the tie games each side feels like they had the better chances to win. We kicked it around a little bit and a tie was better than a loss. I think our best win was against perenially (sp?) strong Bill Hood's Marucci Bat Co. team.

Great fields, no problems, and they use REAL baseballs! Congratulations to all Illinois teams and players for showing that you can play some darn good baseball.

Many scouts and recruiters are already there, just waiting for the 17's to arrive this week.

In case anyone is wondering, Chet Lemon's Juice ended up winning the title.

Man perfect game or whomever runs these must be making a fortune. 148 teams, 1 game a day charging 10$ a head to get in to see the games, 40$ for all the games. How did they come up with whatever places did they use runs scored or runs allowed as some of these teams were 500. I am also surpised at these type tournaments that no infield or outfield is allowed as it doesn't give the scouts much opportunity to see how they play. Are they just looking at pitching or hitting? Seems like a long time to be somewhere for 6 games.
