Great article. By far the most positive 4 year baseball article I have seen in that paper in memory..

Had the real pleasure of sitting with "The Dad" through most of this series...

...when he wasn't plying me with some really bad hot dogs (not his fault)...he was telling me some REALLY great Air Force and Navy stories (better than the baseball at many junctures)

Hadn't seen Karl in a few years but my memories served me correctly...The young man is the real deal...a real standout...It is easy to see why he is being courted for the draft and had scouts and cross checkers in attendence...he is fleet and strong, hits everything hard, and the way he carries himself, it is easy to see why he has persevered through a great deal more adversity than is mentioned in the article...
Karl is the model of what great parenting, great education, the right fit, hard work, discpline, focus and baseball can produce.

Congratulations to Karl and looking forward to the next step.

You done good "Dad"

44...

Just spoke with cadKID#1 from parade practice (what's that about not being a normal college experience?) and he said you've jumped in line ahead of cadDad for "tickets". Hope he's not getting ahead of himself.... In any event, he sends his heartfelt thanks and wants to help with that swing "hitch" he saw on 44JR (does that make him like OB28?)

Graduation next week! Bring on the Thunderbirds and the B2's... Hats will be a flying. I'll try and get a photo for everyone.
