If a kid pitches too several batters but never gets an out, then is taken out how many many innings is he credited with?

He is credited with zero ininnings pitched. The number of innings pitched depends on how many outs are made while a pitcher is on the mound.

For example - Pitcher A pitches to 5 batters and walks them all. The coach changes pitchers and Pitcher B gets the three outs needed. Pitcher A is credited with an appearance but is not credited with any innings pitched. Pitcher B gets credit for the inning he pitched.

and a notation is made in the final box score saying "Pitcher A pitched to 5 batters in the Xth."
