I'm not talking about the show. I'm talking about the draft. When you start getting an idea of where your son may be drafted and its in a top 5 round. don't you think it might be a good idea? How much is your house worth? Should there be insurance for guys like A-Rod, Delmon Young etc.. who knew they were top picks?
An answer to your question about A-Rod and Young, no. But that's just my opinion.
Persoanlly I do not believe in these insurance policies. If he is projected in the top 5 rounds, then he must be a pretty darn good player, and if he is I'm sure that he has a collge all lined up for the fall. If he is not drafted in the round planned or the offer after the draft in not sufficient, go to school, whether it be D1 or Juco, he'll have an opprotunity to improve in the draft if he keeps it up. Of course if he goes to a D1 he'll have three more seasons to improve his draft status.
Yes I have a home... but I'm not betting my home that someone gets drafted in a certain round. I live in Houston not Vegas.
I have a life insurance policy that pays out if I die, but not one that pays out if I don't get that new job.
Should there be insurance for a recent college grad who can't find a job?
Some actually do, they're called Parents!
