My 2022 son attended the usa championships in Arizona in June.  He did very well.  After the event, our emails blew up with many invites to college camps.  My guess is that every kid that attended the event in arizona gets these emails.  On the other hand, I also wonder if the schools are able to filter attendees, for example, list all attendees that hit for greater then 0.xxxx BA, etc. To narrow down the list of players they invite.  Does anyone know?  Do these college camp invites go out to all players attending such an event or do they actually screen who they send to?

We went to the 15U event (I also have a 2022). Son's performance was nothing to write home about.  We have not done any PG, BF or PBR events, so I would guess USA is the one selling our email address. I usually get one every couple days.  ALL are mass emails and I doubt any of them have any true interest based on what they saw.  Only one gave me pause, it was from a school that I saw the RC watching him pitch multiple innings in his one non-mediocre performance.  Ultimately, it had an unsubscribe option at the bottom and had to be taken for what it was...nothing.

Thanks for the responses, confirmed what I was thinking.  Son had good measurables as in BA .545, no errors, ERA 0.0 and pitched against at nationally ranked team that had scouts present (watching the other team).  That said, he didnt have any head turning moments, no bombs, no radar worthy velo.  Also did not email any coaches before or after event and its questionable if HC for team did anything to market him.  Might be a good example of how if you aren't a head turning player, you need to follow a lot of the good advice here with regards to contacting coaches, letting them know when you are playing, etc.

If there is a specific school that sent a camp invite and your son is interested in that school, you would Email the coach/recruiter and tell them you were at the event, give player #, and ask for feedback.  If they are truly interested, they should be able to remember your son, start a dialogue, and go to the camp.  That is how our son was recruited.

As posted above, most of these are mass emails to everyone in their database.  He never received a personal email from a coach, unless replying to one he had sent them.

From my son's experience this past summer, all contact to him started with a text from the coach or RC which usually lead to a phone call.  All of these conversations were generally after a game that he pitched or a showcase.  I assume they obtained his cell from PBR, PG profile or summer coach.  Often the summer coach would give him a heads up that he gave his # to a certain coach.  For the most part the interest he was from mid-major D1 and JUCO's, so i couldn't tell you about a HA D3's or Power 5 conferences.
