The St Louis Pirates defeated the Wisconsin Midwest Blazers in the Championship game 2-0.

It was a good tournament with lots of good players and great weather.

The scouting turn out was good but last year it was better. The U of Virginia recruiting coordinator probably traveled the farthest.

St Louis Pirates get the paid entry into Jupiter.

There are a lot of real good Illinois players that deserve to play in Jupiter. Here's hoping that some of them get a chance to be on a roster. We have heard there is possibly something being worked on with the Scout League and Bo Jackson Elite Sports.
Hats off to the St Louis Pirates...their 2 guys pitched a heck of a game in the Championship.

Very proud of our guys as well. 2 runs given up in 6 games (both in the championship) playing against the best in the Midwest is no small feat.

Thanks as always to PG for giving all these kids a great venue to show their skills. I know playing in these events makes our guys better ballplayers and that's what it's all about.

Once again a top notch event!
I agree! It was a great tournament!

Hats off to the Blazers! Classy group of kids, Coaches and Parents! Good Luck the rest of the way!

What makes the Pirates win even more interesting is that not only were they playing their 7th game in 3 days, the kids only got about 5 hours sleep Sunday night because they were stuck on I-80 for 3+ hours in an accident-related traffic jam.

We got back to the hotel at 1:30 AM and had to get them dressed and fed to leave the hotel at 7:30 AM for the 9 AM game against the Giants.

The 4 hour drive home tonight was very quiet. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
looks like some great baseall played. For the Midwest Blazers to give up no runs in pool play and Cangelosi to give up 1 is outstanding. I see the Naperville Chargers team was 1-3 but lost two one run games, including one to Cangelosi's team that made the playoff round. Looks like they also had mostly 2010 and 2011 kids. Illinois teams looked like they had a very good showing. There's a few IL guys on that Blazers roster. I know there's always a ton of scouts and colleges here so I sure all the kids had a great deal of fun.
