Why would any legit D1 prospect go on a junket like this? No D1 scouts in Italy. No MLB scouts in Italy.Sounds like a scam.
I have actually met players that have gone on this trip and they said the experience was well worth it. Its not all about scouts and showcases! How about representing your COUNTRY as an AMBASSADOR, a TEACHER of the game to those who are willing to watch and learn (I bet that looks well on a transcript when talking to schools). Who cares if its good or bad baseball, Im sure the lessons learned are far greater than any experience at a 170 team tournament in Atlanta (or anywhere else).

Linedrive- I can assure you, there is no scam. I've been a head coach for 13 years and have played the game at every level short of the Bigs. No one is promoting this thing as a sure-bet D1 opportunity or something that will get them signed...it's simply a great opportunity to experience international baseball.
