Good points brought up in the article written by Rudner.

Thanks for posting @Dadof3.

I agree,100 %, about the importance of team building. I also feel for the guys who worked their butts off all fall, possibly last few seasons as well for the first place position, or for just getting in the line up?

What I am wondering, if this player is as good as his stats were over the past few years playing at an ACC program, why is he still playing in college?

Because of his age and juco he's been eligible for every one of the last six MLB drafts. Looks like he's almost exclusively a DH which probably explains the lack of draft interest.

Not to criticize him. He's had a great college career and not many would say no to a roster spot on the defending CWS champs. He's just operating within the system that others created.

I know Berto, and he's a great guy.  He played travel ball with my son. He's one of the most humble and gracious kids I know.  It is a great opportunity for him, and it's hard to blame a kid for taking advantage of an opportunity. Not sure why he hasn't been drafted, but I know playing in Chapel Hill was a big dream of his. Look forward to seeing him have a big season in Knoxville.
