Just printed those lists you posted Jerry Smile

Jerry,

The PG Teal coach, Chris Snuse, called me several days back and requested a few "top" players, and I met his needs with top 2008 & 2009 draft prospects. If the players I recommended live in FL and can commute, what would the cost be for each of those players?

It was my understanding that a sponsor had already been attained for this team in the amount of "<edit by Shep>" from NJ. Shouldn't that cover the costs?

These prospects need to be there for the larger picture. Heck, we should be paying them, even though I know we can't, they're so good! Eek peace shep

Shep,

I'm totally confused, not sure I know what you mean? Tell the players you recommended they don't have to pay Perfect Game anything. I can't answer for Chris Snuse, why wouldn't you ask him that? Also I can't figure out why he'd be looking for players from Florida.

I think the event would be just fine without paying your prospects. There's now been over a hundred Major League players who played in that event. And to my knowledge none of them were ever paid anything.

Maybe I misunderstood intent of thread. I thought we were all in this to promote our youth and make sure we are all on the same page.

Shep, Nice hearing from you.

Remember this is the HSBBW,

Not BA,PG,Rivals,Are any other baseball promoting site.

I'm not hear to promote anybody.
Just to get info about baseball, and have conversation's with Web Friends about baseball.
And other interesting topics. LOL

This is going to be another outstanding WWBA event. The Braves scout team , St Louis Cardinals scout team , East Cobb Astros are loaded. My personal favorite the Dirtbags , "Sorry but Im biased" will also be a tough out. The talent in this tournement is awesome. Every team will be outstanding. Im getting down there Thursday evening and we dont play untill Friday around 3. So Im looking forward to seeing alot of great baseball.

TR I left you a message on your answering machine. Sorry I missed you. I was on the baseball field hitting fungos when you called. 80 plus degrees in late October it doesnt get any better than that. Call me back tomorrow.

I've said it before, but I think it would be a fun idea to set up an evening at a local watering hole (such as the resturant/bar accross from the stadium) where the HSBBWeb posters could get together and meet each other.

If it rains, you might not find a seat for the entire (5) days in JJ Muggs Stadium Grill across the street from the ticket booth Big Grin

I'm with the "idea" ! Set it up Mr. Grabe!

Appreciate the kind words of wisdom EH.

Maybe God will have mercy and stop the rain in Jupiter. It's His call. Many hopefuls are getting their hopes dashed without this exposure to college recruiters and MLB scouts. I'll pray for a break in the weather and hopefully,Smileeverybody else will too!!! Man, this rain just will not let up! peace RS

Pouring when I left, many games cancelled, fields filled with water, mud everywhere. Scouts and coaches huddled under umbrellas and in their carts. Supposed to rain up there all weekend, I do hope not, they will never get the games in.

I got to meet up with Coach May, it was pouring we shared some time under a tent. Dirtbags began in the pouring rain, it let up, but had to stop due to darkness falling and no lights in the back fields.
Finally got some good weather today! A lot of good baseball going on down there. I had an opportunity to find some fellow websters. Ran into Coach May, Ryno and TRHit. Great to be able to put faces with code names Wink. My Son's team has played 2 games so far and won both. Tomorrow we have a possible 3 game schedule if we keep winning. Hope that everyone is enjoying the tournament, there is no other like it...rain and all!
What a beautiful day with wonderful weather in Jupiter Saturday(today).

#1<Thank You God for answering our prayers.>

Really enjoyed seeing and speaking with some of our HSBBW posters.

ITS(Paul) was great! It was really easy to see why his sons have so much desire and passion for baseball after spending some time with ITS today. He is the "real deal" just like his sons! Kyle looked promising out there in CF and I can see great things in-store for this baseball prospect in the future.

TRHit was all over the place and really busy. I did get an opportunity to speak with Tom briefly in between games. He does a lot for his players and seems to really care for them like family in my brief observations. Wanted to meet the May family but didn't get an opportunity. Maybe tomorrow. Heard several important baseball people present say they liked Coach May's son with the bat.

There were tons of MLB scouts, college scouts and sports agents. Jupiter is the place to be. Enjoyed spending the day with everybody. peace shep
Mr. G,

What time does Team Adidas play tomorrow? I apologize for missing your games, so far.

This tournament has "many" players who will be drafted. Eighty teams is a lot of players.

I highly recommend the ribs at JJ Muggs Stadium Grill. So tender till they fall off the bones Smile

Once again, sorry I missed you guys! Just let me know the time and which field. peace shep
I did notice in the highlight wraps that Eric Grabe hit a three-run homer for Team Adidas today. Isn't that his second HR in two games? Not to mention, you won both games, as well. I will "try" and make part of the Team Adidas game tomorrow. One of the players we are advising at current time, will also be playing at that same exact time. peace shep
PS(PM back at cha! Smile)
