I wanted to let everyone know that I just heard that Mike Steele is now working with Cangelosi Baseball and will be working with Bo Jackson's new dome in lockport. My son's best friend played for him up at michigan state while he was the pitching coach there and said that he was unbelievable to work with and made him gain 6 mph on his fastball. I know that Kyle Kaminska was going there to play for him and when he heard that he left didnt want to go there anymore. So that is interesting. He is now listed on www.cangelosibaseball.com

Might be doing pitching lessons or clinics.

Rock... thanks for the compliments. Anyways just learned how to use these forum things. Pretty cool. Did you see that guys fish on my rookie post. Holy monkey!

I think i know what kid you are talking about and I really didnt do anything special with him just gave him showed him how to take care of his arm better and gave him some direction. He still had to do all the work. His velocity jump was due way more to the fact that he worked his butt off and made a commitment more than anything I did.

The only thing I ask is no more saying anything about Michigan State on here or anything about the kids I may have talked to while I was there. If that happens I will just not come to the site anymore. That is all I really have to say about that. Rumors arent going to help any one. Kyle is a great young man from a great family and will do a great job at the pro level. i am sure we would have all supported him either way he went. It is the family's and the kid's decision and no one has the right to tell them it is right or wrong.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and I am really excited to get down to the Chi-town area. I am here to help coaches and players any way that I can. please never hesistate to send me an email or ask me questions. This is a great game we get the privalege to coach or play and we should all be in this to work with young men and support the people who are in charge of them. We can all learn something from each other.

Quick question... Is there a class I take to be sworn in as a Bears fan? I really think I have to quit being a lions fan. It has been just way too long and painful.

PS - Fungo Master...how do i go about getting an apprenticeship with you. I thought I had a pretty good fungo but not nearly good enough to make it a call sign. Smile

Thanks Coach - you are too kind. I will second your motion and let us all discuss positives versus negatives. Everyone needs to follow what is in your heart & that is whether it is baseball or some other adventure- it is generally the best advise to follow. You are only young once.

I have gotten some great advise from people through out this forum but "buyer" beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There are no magic bullets out there that substitute for hard work! Go play catch with your kid at night because baseball will end all too soon.

Welcome to the Bears family! The first thing to do is go to Walmart and get a Bear's sweatshirt and then burn all that Lion's stuff.
