Kruk, Gwynn Miffed Why No One Asks Them About Steroid Use

... Former major league baseball players John Kruk and Tony Gwynn were both annoyed that no one has questioned them about using steroids during their playing careers.
... Most ex-big leaguers were asked by the media last week about past steroid use when former MVP Ken Caminiti announced that he had used steroids during his career, but not Kruk and Gwynn, two of the top players of the early 1990s.
... “It’s kind of a slap in the face,” said Kruk, who starred for the 1993 National League champion Philadelphia Phillies. “What, I don’t look like I could’ve been on steroids? I wasn’t, but I could’ve been. You don’t know.”
... Gwynn, the greatest player in San Diego Padres history, echoed Kruk’s statements. “I was a highly conditioned athlete. Maintaining that body was hard work. For people to automatically think without even asking that I could naturally look this good really bothers me.”

TR, let him worry about that, I know The Cardinal (the redbird) would be happy! Wink

True toughness only comes from within and can only be revealed by circumstances which force you to stretch beyond yourself.

I am not a lawyer but using statements in quotes with no source is cause for legal action, we all know Dibble did not interview them, especially when you note the comeback from Dibble. One cannot just put forth quotes from people when one thinks them up especially on such a sensitive subject.

As for him worrying and not me I do think that this board is also vunerable in such situations as it is posted here.

By the way, thanx for the grammar pick up-- the nuns from grammar school would be upset with my miscue. please do not let them know.
