Joe Kinney has been there a while and is a no nonsense old school guy. My son attended a Prospect Camp a few years back. He makes it very clear where you stand after a camp and an evaluation. The field is a mile or two off campus if I remember. I know they had a really off year at 8-44 this past year. Has an assistant who has been with him entire time. Very well regarded school.

I like Coach Kinney a lot.  My sons were "so so" on him.  Very much comes across as a hard ass, even on the campus visits.

My boys chose not to go there, though primarily due to the off campus facility which if I recall was ~15 minutes and several miles.  It was a nice complex, but the off campus location was a non-starter at every school we visited including Lafayette.

We also found Coach Kinney to be very direct and no nonsense when my son visited last Fall.  From my son's experience he is very hands on with recruiting and from what we've heard that carries over to how he runs the team as well.  Although my son liked him, but chose to go elsewhere partly because Lafayette felt a bit small and didn't offer the academic program my son is considering.  My son is a pitcher, and the pitching coach of the school that my son ultimately committed to was very involved in recruiting him.  This was was an important factor to my son, and was a major difference with how Lafayette recruits.

My oldest son did an OV there many years ago and was offered.  He liked and respected Coach Kinney as well as one of the Recruiting/Asst Coaches.  Coach Kinney was direct and to the point with all of his communications.  My son shadowed one of the engineering majors to his classes and thought the academics were top shelf and challenging.  The class sizes were a very manageable size.  He was not thrilled with the off-campus facilities and the general "party-attitude" of the baseball team at that time.  He thought the campus and surrounding town were on the small side.
