Well, Friday night is my son's last high school game, cause his team didn't make playoffs.

There are some things that I will miss about high school baseball. But, there are more things that I will not miss!

1. Parents, especially the parents that are always bragging about their son! Could you please shut-up!! We are sick of hearing it, and your kids learn from you. It is about a "TEAM" not just your son. Wonder no more why people don't "like" you. Here is the answer.

2. The rain, the wind and cold weather!

3. Mouthy parents on opposing teams!

4. Cold nachos!

6. Bad games!

7. Oh, I better not write this one!

8. Parents gripping about the coach. It's always the coaches fault, even though he is not the one throwing the ball, catching the ball, or not hitting the ball. Maybe your kid is just having a not so good year, or not a good game. Just accept it! Parents love a coach when their son is doing well, and hate him when their son is not doing well. Your kids have to take some responsibilty.

7. Working the concession stand with "those" parents.

8. Oh, did I mention parents?? But, without us parents there would be no players. I completely understand why coaches always say that parents are the problem. If coaches had to sit in the stands they might have more tolerance for us sane parents.

Really, I will miss high school baseball alot. The good memories that my son made, will out weigh the bad anytime. It was all about him and not about us. That is what seems to get lost sometimes.

As he goes onto college, I wish him nothing but the best. I will miss the sound of a bat hitting the ball, the smell of hamburgers and hot dogs cooking on the grill, and the friends that we have made these last 4 years. Good Luck to all!
Smile
