Latin pipeline and talent pool

The whole System with those buscones seems to be pretty shady but the Cuban players of course offer a new dimension to this. If there is really trafficking that would on another level compared to the stuff we have seen (braves, underage contracts...).

As a fellow Cuban American I would not  label this as trafficking.  Cuban players are escaping from a totalitarian communist country.   Where the only kids with opportunities are the kids of the communist running that craziness.  Instead focus on the atrocities of the communist.

Ok, gotta say that argument doesn't hold water with me. It's not that the participant is a willing party to the trafficking in some cases. Appearances can be deceiving. What you seem to be missing out on is the corruption leading to the point of the actual illegal act of human trafficking. Just because they are playing a sport and have the opportunity to make a lot of money (which from the story appears a portion of which is extorted from them), they are still being illegally trafficked and used for the purpose of LABOR by MLB teams. This is illegal, regardless of whether the party to the crime appears to be a willing accomplice.
