ok, it's april, the kid's jr year. the letters are coming in almost daily, emails - some personal some bulk, but quite a few of em. just want the kid to enjoy the ride, but don't want him to get too carried away with unrealistic expectations. my question is, does this all mean anything at all? or is he just in a bunch of data bases and getting the best of modern word processing while some coaches try to pick up some camp fess this summer? how at this point in the process can you tell the difference???

some of the more personal contacts do ask over and over to "keep me posted," "let me know your summer schedule as soon as you know it," "you really need to come to our camp this summer, etc."

it's a great problem to have, but help!

Every contact means something- how much it means will vary--the letters/emails with the personal notes should be at the top of the list

The "you really need to come to our camp" as pure business letters---if a coach wants to see you he will make sure he comes to where you are.

We have a player that is drawing a load of interest---last week, myself and the recruiting coordinator from a major Division I school drove three hours down and three hours back to see him in action--I was even picked up and dropped off at my doorstep and it took coach nearly an hour to get to me--now that is true interest in a player--
