I am a pitcher and since I been serious at the gym I don't know what to do with my workouts. For the past few weeks I have just been running, lower body weight, and doing abs which is fine but I don't want to lose muscle and strength. Before I was lifting regularly and then bulking and I just went cold turkey with no upper body.
I am scared of hurting myself. I am done with college and in a lot better shape now than then. The day I pitch and the day after I do some distance running, day 3 I take off, day 4 is some circuits, 5 is sprints, 6 is back to circuits, and 7 is sprints again; mixing in abs every other day. I was on a regular schedule with weights as in chest, back, shoulders, tri's, bi's.
I don't want to lose muscle and go all flabby. I'm still doing arm exercises to strengthen my arm but don't know what to do with my lifting schedule b/c I don't want to hurt myself and aggravate my throwing arm again.
Thanks, any help is much appreciated.
