Lynnhaven Baseball is in the process of putting together it's summer program and schedule for Summer 2010.
Last year's team finished 3rd in the World Series in the Pony Palomino Division in San Jose, CA. The team finished with a record of 40-9 playing in seven tournaments including winning the Canes Woodbat 40 Team Battle of the Beach event. We also participated in tournaments in Greensboro, NC, an American Legion Tournament in Williamsburg, the Zone Championships in Pittsburgh, PA and of course the World Series in San Jose, CA.
In the past five years of our program, we have been to three World Series Events. In 2005, we played in the Palomino World Series in Puerto Rico and in 2008, we played in the NABF World Series in Jackson, MS (Woodbat).
This year we will look to add more talent to our program and hopefully leading us to winning the 2010 World Series in San Jose, CA. We will be joining the Tidewater Summer League (Woodbat) in addition to playing a regular Palomino/Tournament Schedule. We will have multiple teams to maximize the playing time for each player.
Last year we had players from Richmond to Southampton County playing with our program. We welcome all players, but most of our players were graduating seniors who had committed to college or college players who still met the age requirements of the league. Two of our players were picked up by the Valley League and Coastal Plains League.
