What are the opinions regarding this bat.  We have an opportunity to buy last years model (2015) fairly cheap ($130) and was wondering if the bat's worth it.  I heard that the Mako performs poorly with hitters who have a high bat speed.  Something about the rebounding effect isn't as effective.  Is this true?  Older son has a 5150 and loves it, but I now have a younger son who needs a bat (just entering the big diamond).  Unfortunately, neither team has team bats to use.  Any help would be appreciated.  Also, are there other bats under $150 that are recommended?  Thanks

2018 has been using the 2015 Mako for over a year (33/30) and has loved it. Likes how it is very balanced as opposed to top heavy, and it is a steal at $130 as retail is more like $400. Probably half the kids on the high school team using Easton Mako (not Torq) or S1's, other half uses the Louisville Slugger Prime, with a few Marucci & Rawlings sprinkled in.
