I have to give a shout out to Matt Murton. He and Adam Greenberg will be in uniform tonight against the Marlins! WHOOHOO! party

Man, you just never know when the call will come. Wednesday, the wife and I were eating lunch with Matt in Sevierville and Thursday he gets the call. Needless to say, he is pretty excited!

CONGRATULATIONS MATT!!!! applaude

Good luck to Matt and Adam. Matt has been tearing the cover off the ball! Small world, when little Fungo made his debut as a college pitcher against Georgia Tech in the spring of 2003, Matt Murton was the first batter he faced. You might say he helped Matt get a little closer to the pros! (about 400 ft. closer) Big Grin

Congrats to Matt and his family and all of his former coaches and his friends...from the Southwest suburbs of Chicagoland.

Fan...I agree with you. They sent the wrong guy down. They should launch the manager.

They were so happy when they got rid of Sammy and Alou and their salaries and home runs.

What do they have now...An adequate right fielder; a mediocre centerfielder who is truly a second baseman with no "pop" in his bat; and, ZERO production from the leftfielders that they've tried to play at that position.

Add to the mix...Neifi who is already worn down and gone...a second baseman that can't run or play defense but can hit a little bit...lousy bullpen...over-rated pitching staff with Prior and Wood (Matt Clement where are you?) and Zambrano who is likely to "explode" at any time.

Good thing that the Cubbies are owned by the Trib and WGN sends them all over the US and the Cubbies have made Wrigley Field a tourist destination.

...Otherwise manager gets launched and gm gets launched, too, for not doing anything in the off season except get rid of their top two players.

By the way...DLee is having such an outstanding year because no one is afraid to pitch to him, i.e., pitch around him...because the rest of the lineup is so weak!

Go White Sox.
