Chris Smith for CH pitched well striking out 9 in 6 innings. Wheels fell off when he came out of the game to start the 7th. Better game then the score indicated. Most of the damage was done in the top of 7th with 2 outs. Not sure why CH coach did not put their ace in to get final out before it got out of hand. (and yes, he was considering it since he had him warmed up and ready). I feel like these two teams are VERY EVENLY MATCHED. I think 6-5A is far superior to 5-5A.

What I think is very odd are these coaches not starting their #1 in game 1.

What coaches???

How can you expect a kid whose been throwing the ball back to the pitcher and gunning kids out at 2nd have the stamina to go and throw off a mound.

I'd say it worked out OK in game 1 for Flower Mound. Zak Adams is a pretty good one and he pitched brilliantly for the Jaguars in their game 1 win.
Who did Colleyville pitch? Not Kubitza?

You really believe this? Wow.

Not Kabitza.
And yeah it did work out for FM but what if it didn't? FM could have thrown their #1 twice if needed in the series since game #1 was Tuesday. That coach is a little different though. Seen several hit & runs in odd situations.
What about Arlington Martin not throwing their guy?

And plus isn't the key to pitching effectively all in the legs? I'm pretty sure squatting for six innings didn't help the cause either.

I guess I would have gone with what has worked for me all year since my team was 27-3, #1 in the state, #5 in country going into my 1st round playoff series. Now is not the time to "trick things up."
Plus, who really knows what the thought process was in dugout among the head coach and his assistants? Only them.

Its going to be interest to see if Gill throughs
either tonight or tomorrow, on account does FD really want to have his ace compete against Kabitza. This series could end up being a 3 gamer, with Marcus having their ace still left.
And one last thing, your team might be 27-5*, but I can recall one classic sport quote for you. "Your only as good as your last game".

I think Marcus wins regardless of the pitching scenario. I think Marcus will scrap for runs against Kabitza and Gil might win a head to head with him. If I were coaching Marcus, I would save Gil for Saturday against whoever CH can muster up.

Colleyville is not "my" team.
