Middle School Baseball in DFW

Now that's what I'm talking about. About time! We had middle school baseball in my day. Good luck! Hope this sparks up some interest in these grade levels.

cajun, Check out some of the private schools like St.Marks, Greenhill, ESD. Maybe even some DISD schools. Or play in the spring league at BBI if possible if the kids are 14 and under. Thats all iI got.

That is one thing that has always surprised me about Texas (no youth baseball in the schools). When I grew up we had basketball starting in the third grade and baseball starting in the 5th. All was very well organized by the schools and volunteers. It would be great to see..

why don't we have it, we have football, volleyball, basketball, track, but no baseball/softball??? i've got 15 freshman at a 2A this year, some played little league, some never played...what i could have taught them my their freshman year they'll hopefully learn by their junior year!!

Franklin Middle School in DISD has a good baseball program. Check with Coach Reese

Many of the area Catholic Schools have baseball starting in the 5th grade, granted the teams are usually coached by a dad, but they do play against other parochial schools in the DPL....If you aren't getting what you want in the public school system, I am certain that St. Monica, St. Rita or one of the other schools would love to have your sons, especially if they are big and lefthanded

There are 12 1A schools northeast of DFW that play fall baseball in JH. they do not have football so they can do it.

It was actually a 7th grade team, but yes powerful!!!! 4-0 against Plano East Senior High in early and late year scrimmages!!! Good Luck EAST in 07!!!!!!

Middle School Baseball??? Those are the most important years for these young ballplayers. Do you really want them to waste their time with Middle School coaches that typically do not specialize in a specific sport. Stick with Select Baseball and quality instruction.

There is baseball at the middle school level in the DPL (Dallas Parachoil League)spelling?. I played with St.Monica and we dominated everyone in the league because our team had 5 kids who played summer baseball. This shows how bad the competition was. Our closest game was against I dont remember but the score was 21-1.

It wasn't all bad, there were a dozen teams that had two or three players that played select. But most of them never cared to show up. wonder why?

At least we had baseball and i was fun to play with the guys from your school just messing around. So if you look into a league that has been around for i think 15 years now and plays i think 25 games. I would look at the DPL schools.

Who was your coach at St. Monica? What is his contact information?

There isn't a designated coach. It was a parent that we had all knew that had played in college. You just have to volunteer and talk to the administration and they can give you all of the information that you need. Even though it was coached by parents it was always a coach that had played in college and knew what he was talking about. Such as pitch count and such.
