Just watching some video of yesterdays toranado damage in Joplin and in MN (are you ok Julie).

I pray for those that were lost in the storm and those that have lost their busiensses and their homes.

I know we have a few posters from MO, I am concerned for them.

My son leaves Tulsa tonight to head back to Springfield, the storm predictions aren't good. I am not sure what precautions they take, but I probably won't sleep until he arrives back safely.

My college roommate is from Joplin. He finally posted on Facebook this afternoon after friends tried contacting him over the last 18 hours.

He said they had a tree down in their yard, but the house was fine. 4 blocks away was totally destroyed. His high school gone; one hospital destroyed...

Missouri just cannot get a break. Tornadoes, floods, t-storms, tornadoes; it just continues..
We had tornados in the KC area yesterday and Sedalia to our southeast got hit pretty hard , nothing like Joplin though. I have friends that were impacted by the Joplin tornado. They lost their homes but fortunately, no injuries or deaths. All we can do is pray for the victims and help in any way we can. The KC community has really stepped up and there are truckloads of donations headed that way and alot of donations to the Red Cross. I know many of the surrounding states are providing assistance as well.

TPM,

Sorry I didn't notice your note earlier.

Yes, we are fine, with too much water in the backyard but no damage. A neighborhood we had just visited the day before got hit by the tornado here and at least one life was lost in that area.

So sorry for the folks in Joplin!

Julie
