I have successfully repaired two gloves - but my son's current catcher's mitt has both of us stumped. The pocket lacing tore, and a piece went missing. He did temporary fix. Now we're trying to find someone local to re-lace the whole thing if possible. No luck so far. Anyone know of a good, quick, person who could do this? We live in western Oregon. Don't want to mail it away and wait, his back-up mitt isn't the greatest.
Thanks.

Just an update - we took it to a leather shop that does a lot of shoe repair, and custom motorcycle leather-wear work. One of the guys claims to have re-laced "hundreds" of gloves - so we nervously handed it off to him. He did a great job - just did the pocket and all the odd areas it connected to. Honestly, this is one confusing lace job on that glove! $35 and it's better than new. We've since had him do the pocket of the back-up glove, since it was falling apart. I never would have thought of taking it there. (And a side note: there are no "shoe repair" businesses listed in the phone book anymore. I guess everyone just buys a new pair now!)
