MLB Open Tryouts

Had a few questions regarding these. If the tryout is held in Canada is it only for Canadians? On the MLB site it lists ages 15-23 for the Canadian tryouts and 16 as minimum age for US tryouts, is this correct? Have any of you attended one of these just to give your player an idea of what a Tryout/Showcase entails?

The one in Welland, ontario is open to anyone as long as you meet the age requirement. It has been run in Welland for over 15 years, I book the field for the MLB scouting bureau for this tryout. We have a number of American kids come out over the years as we are only 20 minutes from the border in Buffalo, NY.
