So what do you think? The Red Sox hitters are somethng to watch for a moneyball guy like myself. I might be wrong but last night only JD Drew jumped on the first pitch. Even the 2 rookies are patient at the polat and not afraid to hit with two strikes. It is simple really. Keep getting on base and someone will either hit the ball and score you or the pitcher will walk someone with the bases loaded.

So we have Oakland, Toronto and Boston buyng into Moneyball for position players. Any other takers or does no one in the national League ever want to win another world series??

However, ace pitchers are very difficult to get thru free agency. Teams that develop within seem to have the best shot at assembling a great pitching staff.

This is where the 2008 Yankees will start seeing their young pitchers come up that are now ready to make an impact.

If they can sign Mike Lowell, Johan Santana, Posada and Rivera, Yanks will be in great shape.
