Thanks for asking Sue.

The bottom line, we keep it very organized and very intimate. Allowing each player to individually show the college coaches what they are good at; fielding, catching, hitting, and pitching.

Our main focus, we do not want any kid just blending in.

With respect to pitching we work the pitchers separately getting loose, warming up, and limiting their pitches at each location. Again the focus is to show the college coaches your pitches.

In each case the college coaches love it. In fact one coach told me, "gee Al, this great. You are making us think like coaches."

Please feel free to call me if you have any specific questions.

At each location we have the catchers show their blocking skills, throw's to 2nd,3rd, and first (if coaches want it). As with all positional players, we have them show their approach to hitting in live BP on the field, participate infield and outfield, and rotate through catching the bull pens for the pitchers.

If it means anthing my son is a catcher also and I can assure you this approach permits the coaches to evaluate your son versus having him hid behind an umpire during games.

In addition, I provide each player a written evaluation which I forward an excerpt of to other colleges outside the region who would not be able to attend. Example, coaches in PA, MD, DE, AL, FL, GA....I will also send it to any college you or your son would request.

Hope I have been of help.

We make 4 stops centrally located. Example: Elon is located in the NW corner and we invite all the colleges within 1 hour driving distance to attend (NC State, NC, High Point, Greensboro, Guilford, to name a few)then we will go to the southwestern corner. Possibly Lenoir Rhyne to get the colleges down there, followed by UNC Charlotte and East Carolina.

We loosen them up physically, as well technically at each facility, and only allow them to throw 8-10 pitches max at each location.
We have them show off their pitches and move out. The college coaches are prepared for this and get to see what they want to see and at most the kids will throw maybe 40 pitches over the two day process.

If you have any specific questions, please give me a call.

Thank you,

To answer another question I have been asked over the phone:

Most Valuable Player runs the bus trips on a Wednesday-Thursday to limit the number of games any player may miss, as well not interfere with the weekend games.

Right now July 12-13 trip is the most popular with the 19-20 a close second. Remember, seats on the bus are limited.

Sue54,
Seeing him, and excerpt from his evaluation will be worth more than his portfolio. I include all the Academic info when I forward them my excerpts.

I would appreciate a copy of his portfolio, but I do not recommend packets for all the coaches.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, please give me a call.
