I once posted that on occassion I sat by myself behind the right field fence as to not have to listen to people criticizing the coach or whining about their kids playing time etc. etc. I was once regarded as the unsociable parent. Look at what is going on here. Is there a right field fence on this sight?

For the last several months there has been a lot of bickering, a lot of threatening to delete posts, a lot of threatening to leave the site. In my opinion, the 'Site Gods' are just as guilty as the 'Flamers'.

7 days till son number 2 officially starts high school practice. Wonderful.
Who knows how long till son number 1 gets on the collegiate pitching rubber officially, but he will get his shot. Wonderful.
The Golden Rule still the same today as when given to us over 2000 years ago. Wonderful.
P.S. to Pic: I too had a collegiate athletic background, and have also enjoyed the benefits of a good education, and might even match you educationally, but that is of no consequence. For all of our education and wordsmithing, the most valuable thing we can do when we attempt to communicate thoughts and ideas is to communicate them effectively so that the message we intend to convey finds its target. I fear your message is getting lost in its verbal fury. Most of us come to this wonderful forum, pertaining to the world's greatest game, to try to help others, to whatever limited extent we can, and to be helped, and nothing more. Advice, thoughts and comments that are agenda-free, seem to be almost univerally well-received here, even if not necessarily accepted. If you are getting verbally bashed, honestly and objectively look at your posts and ask why. You're smart, and you will see you're speaking so loudly that you can't be heard.

Your posts regularly show a lack of knowledge of our language, especially regarding the use (or incorrect use) of every day words (ie. to, too, and two......etc.). I notice them, and it isn't a big deal; many people do that. It is inconsistent with your attempts to impress us with your vocabulary!

Chicks, I can standby and take all kinds of stuff.... because I come here for help, for my kid. I'll admit it was a little rough going when I first started posting...but Chicks....we learned so much here...so much information. It isn't fair that this is happening to the site...there are too many other kids, younger...still coming up...who should have the same opportunities to the information we found here...
You need to give us newbies some credit...we really can seperate the good and the bad. We can distinguish the personal agendas from the informative ones...

Do you really believe what you are typing? There is a hidden agenda? We believe that certain folks on this web site will help bring our kids to the next level, because of their influence? Incredible.....I've seen it all, now.
In the real world, if you enter a room of unfamiliar people, and you begin talking trash or taking cheap shots, you will be alienated by the majority. That's no different on a message board. It's that simple....with no other hidden agenda.
Do some posters step out of line....yes. Do some moderators, including myself, over react....of course. Is there a hidden agenda....if there is, I must have missed the secret meeting.

Perhaps I've missed them, perhaps we have wildly different interpretations of what a baseball post is, but I haven't seen deletions involving opinions on the mechanics of playing the game or methods of assisting a player to whichever 'next level' they aspire to. The deletions and locked threads involve name-calling, malicious sarcasm, and anonymous/unsubstantiated declarations of superiority: simple rudeness. There is no reason for rudeness to be tolerated.
Has anybody got an example of an opinion deleted? One that isn't colored with 'I'm right and you're wrong' jabs?
