Baseballdad- I played travel ball with Ryan Burke back in high school. Didn't know he ran a blog, but he is definitely a good candidate to do so. Thanks for the link, I just favorited both your son's and Ryan's.
Great blog. Very good piece on the importance of choosing college vs pro out of high school. I forwarded the blog to my son who is currently enjoying his freshman year on the baseball team at WF. Best of luck to mike on his baseball and journalistic endeavors.

High character coaches, great young men and excellent academics. Wouldn't want him anywhere else. Of course he's happy because it's 63 there today while I'm shoveling 2 ft of snow. Found Putters by accident on a recruiting visit. All the best to Mike and your younger son at GT.

Like the other posters above, I really enjoyed your son's blog. He has a friendly way of getting things across and some writers just don't have this talent. Very interesting to hear from a young man as he fights his way to the top of the pyramid. He was even able to make fun of one of his worst days in baseball and this ability will serve him well in the ups and downs of professional baseball.
