My Space/Facebook/Xanga

Thanks, OBN. Hopefully, this will help to open some eyes as to how our actions can affect our lives.

Heard on the news today that some students in Kansas were planning a Columbine style attack on their school yesterday. It was foiled by the police because they were monitoring a My Space site from one of the students who had mentioned it. Turns out that student had guns, knives and all sorts of ammo in his room at home.

I'm not going to bash the internet or these websites because I was blessed enough to meet my wife in a Christian chat room, but we sure need to keep our eyes open and be involved with what our kids are getting into.

My son's team was told that if they did not remove any reference to being ball players or the team name from their myspace sites, that they would be suspended.

Some of the players were being totally inappropriate.

That is interesting. Very similar to policies that prohibit employees of publicly traded companies from posting messages on finance bulletin board talking about company stock.
