I received the following question via e-mail and I am posting it to see if any members can provide some information:

Sir/Ma,
I am (player name) from Nigeria. I have applied to an institution in your Country, I sent the application for admission into (University name). But the coach said I have to be cleared by NCAA. What are the requirements for me to be cleared? I have registered with the NCAA and I have my code numbers. Thanks I will be waiting earnestly for your reply.

I sent the following reply via e-mail, but I was wondering if any other members have additional information for this player.

In the United States, players who wish to play college baseball must ask their high schools to send their course transcripts to the NCAA, but United States high schools must provide detailed information about the courses in advance to have the courses approved by the NCAA, and the players must have a satisfactory Grade Point Average (GPA) in approved core courses to meet the GPA standards. In addition, the players must also send scores on standardized tests such as the ACT or SAT to the NCAA.
Since you have already registered with the NCAA, you will probably need to ask the NCAA by phone or e-mail what you need to do next. http://www.ncaa.org
Best wishes,
etc.
