Fair enough, I wonder if the NCAA will then change the requirement for keeping them stacked. I believe you now need to maintain a 3.0 which is usually higher than a school's requirement.

I could see this being a benefit for a student who may meet a school's requirement for merit but not the 3.5/1270. Prior to my son re-taking his SATs he had an offer that just included academic money because it was higher than the baseball money being offered and he didn't have the scores to stack.
