NCAA gives 5 "Power Conferences" the Keys to the vault.

Would it surprise anyone that the highest paid employees on campus at the Power 65 is probably the football coach with a handful of possible exceptions for basketball like Coach K or John Calipari? 

When the camp and shoe/equipment money is ladled in on top it is very lucrative.  If the football and basketball tournament money starts really getting weighted to winning in a big way rather than cream spread out over everyone then it will go to another level. 

When the coming Football National Championship tournament in a few years brings the estimated $500mm per year in TV money the value of winning the National Championship might skyrocket to close to $100mm.  Making the big dance in Football will make the pressure to win insane. 

Are we ready for $5 to 10MM bonuses for coaches that win it all?  After all he earned it right?

Its not just the coaches.The entire system is corrupt.Not all but  a majority.Educating is not the top priority.

Let's not forget we are talking about the "top 10%" or so.  The big schools, big teams, that rival professional organizations.  The vast majority of college athletes are real students -- go to class and get a degree -- who play sports for the competition and fun.  My guess is that we will soon have a two tiered model.  One mega "professional conference" and everyone else. 

What's the issue with paying coaches millions?  It's a business, right?

Not when you aren't paying your "employees" fair market value.
