From a coaches perspective let me just say this. The first impression you get is the walk up to the field on day one. Is he early? Check. Is his body language that of a kid excited about being there? Check. Is he dressed like a ball player? Check. Does he look you in the eye when your talking? Check. Does he run everywhere he goes and tries to be the first guy everywhere he goes? Check. Does he go all out in everything he does? Check. Does he interact well with the other players? Check. He is well on his way to being a part of the program. All he needs now is a little bit of talent and he will be fine. Good luck and enjoy this time in your sons life. It will go by waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast.
