does anyone know which football players started their college/pro careers as baseball players and ended up in football? Some examples I know of are Chad Hutchinson, Chris Weinke, Ricky Williams played minor league ball (I think)while at Texas...

Your help is appreciated.

Quincy Carter, Southwest Dekalb High School, Decatur, GA, was drafted by the Cubs in the 2nd round of the 1996 amateur draft. Signed and played in their minor league system for about two years. He later played football for the University of Georgia. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys after two? years and was the starting quarterback for the 2003 Dallas Cowboys.
Bo Jackson, Prime Time, Brian Jordon and the other one that is on the tip of my tongue.....kid was drafted in the first round by the Rangers, flirted with the Majors and then ran off to go to Cowboys Training Camp.....the guys in the Cowboys locker room looked at him and told him to go back to baseball, that he was stupid for giving up the chance for all that money to play 3rd string DB.
Chris Weinke was a 2nd round pick of the Blue Jays who played about 5-6 years in the minor leagues before going back to college and winning the Heisman at Fla. State.
Scott Burrell was a 1st round pick of the Mariners and went on to a long career in the NBA.
Ricky Manning signed with the Twins out of HS and played football at UCLA in the fall and minor league ball in the summer. He is now a DB with Carolina.
Tom,

He was drafted #1 overall by the Colts in 1983, but was traded to Denver. He did say he would not play for the Colts and was shunned by Colts fans pretty much the rest of his career.

Their loss, Denver's gain. applaude
