The A's actually have the lowest per player salary in the Major Leagues.

This is great stuff!!! Even better is that we had the pleasure of watching 3/4 their team play when they were in high school. Also, when Brett Anderson is healthy he's one of the best lefties in baseball.

I know there have been some great jobs by managers this year, but shouldn't Melvin be a unanimous choice as Mg of the Year? It's really special what's going on there even if they lose that last game. Ughhh... Verlander!!!
Low Finish, don't worry about the thread, these guys are playing for each other, not us. Oakland has a push me pull me relationship with it's fan base. Very unstable ownership over last thirty yeas...4 ownership changes and the current one alienated most fans wanting to move away to fill seats when in reality all they had to do was keep 4 or 5 guys from the roster the year before. We got tired of our favorites being traded away....

These guys are unbelievable. Really does seem when you watch them in the 9th it hasn't entered their minds they are likely to lose. Contrast them and their body language with other teams down to the last 3 outs, no comparison. It doesn't matter if they win tonight, the season has been a shot in the arm for the fan base and I sure hope ownership will sit tight and not let these guys get away over the winter.

Let's go Oakland, Verlander Smerlander...my money is on the s****** bunch of characters in the green and gold who most people have never heard of.

With the way the stadium was rocking last night, I doubt the Tigers are looking forward to going back for more.
