I'm in the process of starting a new Catching-101 Podcast that will be free on iTunes and my website...I'm hoping to have the first episodes available at the end of summer.

I want to make it as informative and entertaining as possible, so I'm looking to you guys for help.  Please let me know what you would like me to talk about, who you would like me to interview, and anything else that you would like to have featured on the show.

I would really appreciate any input so that I can make it into something that you would want to listen to.  Thanks in advance!

Coach Barksdale, allow me to start by saying how thankful we are to have a quality venue like cathing101 available from a D1 coach..
If you have a son who catches you need to make catching 101 a regular stop when you have time to hit the computer.

Assuming we all know that GRADES are a given and the reason for the term STUDENT/ATHLETE (which too many forget)...

Helpful info for serious high school catchers would hopefully include recruiting knowledge. The best ways to promote yourself to colleges (letters, video, player web sites, you tube, etc.)

Sharing your personal feelings toward what the most important skills/tools you look for while watching catchers in person or video. (offense, defense, arm strength, receiving, blocking, on field leadership, etc. or is it just the 5 tools in general)

a checklist of (when/how) and what steps players need to take toward NCAA rules and regulations (clearing house, etc.)

I feel these are topics which are presented with confusion contradiction online.

Thanks for the feedback, those are all excellent topics for the show that I'm planning on discussing at some point.  I'm hoping to have the first episodes live for free download in about 6 weeks so I'll work on getting guests around those topics.

Also, thanks for the kind words about the website...I'm glad you have gotten some useful information from it!
