4thGen attends one of the best, Babson just outside of Boston. #1 school in the country for Entrepreneurship, both graduate and undergraduate.

A D2 to consider would be Bentley College also in the Boston area. The problem with the D3 colleges are that most have liberal arts academic tracks, and not business schools per say. One that comes to mind is NYU - Stern, but they only offer club baseball.

Ran into some of the Babson players last year on their spring trip-very nice young men that conducted themselves well and seemed to be having a great time.

MIT is DIII and has a pretty good business school.

I'll give you that. The balance would be heavy academic however. If you can get into MIT I'd say go!

The only problem with schools like MIT and Babson is that they require work experience to get into grad school... Or a 4.0 undergrad who scored 800 on his GMAT!!!!!

I know you were "looking at mostly D3s, not ruling out D2 and NAIA". I'm going to throw you a curve. For what it is worth, Bryant Univ (Smithfield, RI) just moved up to D1 last year. They had a strong baseball team last year beating Virginia Tech, Radford, and Richmond. I saw the VT game, and I was very proud of my alma mater. Not bad for a first year D1 team. Their business programs very, very strong for undergrad and graduate. They compete for the same business students who look at Bentley and Babson. Best of luck.

My biggest issue with DI and DII is eligibility! I have played one year in a juco a while ago and stay home after a big injury during summer ball... I know DI has the 5 year rule which limits me a lot.

DIII and NAIA are a bit more flexible I've heard. AnD being a grad student I feel like I would not be as welcome in a DI or DII (what some people told me).


Bryant would definitely be one of my top choice if I were considering DIs!!! It seems to be such a great school!

Frank- The 10 semester rule applies everywhere. These schools are top notch schools and great suggestions. My best advice would be to compare your grades to the averages you can find on the Internet from the specific schools, and contact the coaches for further information.

while we are on the subject of business programs, does anyone know of any schools in the souhteast that offer sports management, preferably DII or DIII.

Many of these schools have major athletic programs while other not as much. Nonetheless, if you want the best in undergraduate business, the rankings for businessweek are great. Rankings
