Dear Ninth Graders,

It's a whole new world for you as you get ready to try out for a team and play high school ball for the first time. It's easy to be intimidated by the process, but try not to be. Good luck to all -- if baseball is important to you and you want what most people don't get, then do what most people won't do. Work very hard and joyfully at work worth doing. And while you do that, pay attention to what works so you can repeat it, and what doesn't work so you can adjust. With motivation and courage, you can do almost anything. In fact, you probably can't even imagine how much power you have to produce whatever you want in life.

And, if you're interested in a camp this Sunday designed for ninth graders only, check my post on page 4 in the camps thread above.

Enjoy your job. Know your job. Do your job!
