Once in awhile I post this site to try and help anyone who might be struggling to quit the dip. I managed to quit after 25 years of daily Copenhagen use with the help of my "quit brothers". Still have my face, lips, and nice white teeth. I'm one of the lucky ones.

If you've considered quitting, give the site a try. If you've just started, guys, QUIT NOW before the addiction takes over. If you've never tried it, DON'T unless you think you'd enjoy living life as a puppet of USTobacco chemists.

Although I should be one of the first to visit this link, I am strongly against tobacco use. I started, like most ball players, in high school b/c everyone else on the team was using it. Years later, and I haven't quit. I coach in JuCo now, and it seems that more than half of our players dip, or chew. I'd say that half of the users began using this year b/c of some stupid players' theory that it makes you relax at the plate, gives you something to do in the dugout, etc... Sadly, we can't enforce a no tobacco rule b/c all three coaches on the staff dip, which is not uncommon for any baseball program, college or high school. I heard one player say that when his parents caught him dipping in high school, that they quit giving him any money. He had to pay for his own gas, lunch money, etc. He said that he quickly quit due to the expense. For those of you that are unaware, a can of copenhagen costs a little under $5. If you dip a can a day... that's roughly $1800 spent per year to get cancer. If the kids realized that BEFORE they got addicted, they probably wouldn't start in the first place.

Thank you Krakatoa for posting this link. I'm sure it will help somebody.
