Here is the dilemma ...my son is a 2011, 1B, L/L. All set to go to Northeast Top Prospects, but, injures his right thumb. Doctor put a brace on rather than a cast so he could still do the showcase which is coming up on the 13th-15th. He is obviously not going to be 100% by then, so if we wait and take him to the Mid Atlantic, he will be closer to 100%, but between the travel, extra cost to stay over and the fact that the Mid-Atlantic is also run with underclass showcase, which would be better to do?
Not a lot of time to decide what to do, I am leaning towards waiting till Mid-Atlantic, but since he has no definite for college, waiting two more weeks for more exposure is also in the equation. But, being in better form would be better than playing with an injury at the Northeast. Thoughts????

It might be better to go to the later Mid-Atlantic giving him a better chance to be 100%. Two weeks of no exposure won't make or break him. We are battling this same dilemma as my 2011 has been having some physical issues and is due to be in the South Top Prospect in one week. We're pretty sure he'll be better by then but not 100% sure.
This is a late response but its better to wait. My son did a showcase on a severely sprained ankle. He is a centerfielder and didn't run his best. Lucky for him a PG guy saw him favoring it beforehand and made a note of it in the writeup. He improved by 3 tenths of a second a few months later at another event but I had to enroll him to do so. The timing won't make a difference. WAIT.
