How 'bout this:  http://baseballnews.com/colleg...-freshmen-americans/

LHP John Wilson, Old Dominion: A member of the All-Freshmen Team in Conference USA, Wilson was 6-1 with a 3.41 ERA as he fanned 35 batters with 14 walks over 58 innings.

Vinnie Pasquantino, Old Dominion: Named to the All-Freshmen team in Conference USA, he hit .321 with 17 doubles, 5 homers and 38 RBI.

Kyle Battle, Old Dominion: An All-Freshmen Team pick in Conference USA, Battle hit .341 with 8 doubles, 2 homers and 36 RBI.

ODU just missed a regional this year.  When a big part of your team has 2-3 more years of development to go, you have to believe they haven't hit their ceiling.  Now if only they could get the facilities their competitors have!

I'm not familiar with John Wilson, but all of us with the Cardinals are surely proud of Vinnie Pasquantino and Kyle Battle.

Vinnie was a full-fledged Cardinals 2016 mainstay, part of the Ft. Myers WWBA 17u championship team in October 2014, as well as a standout at James River HS.  Some of his offensive numbers are above, but they don't mention that he had something like a 43-game streak for reaching base, and I think reached base in all but 2 of the team's games this year while never missing a start.  He's also a stellar defender, rarely committing errors while saving who knows how many bad throws from teammates from becoming errors.

Kyle joined the Cardinals 2016 team only briefly, for our 3-0-1 stint in Jupiter in October 2015.  He otherwise played for one of the Stars teams, as well as at Glen Allen HS.  Kyle actually got off to a slow start this year, but caught fire mid-season and you can see how his numbers ended up.
