Hey, have a blast, give us your feedback on the new stadium!
Nope...but hope to get there again someday. One of the top-10 experiences of my life. 
Enjoy! And if you like Italian food, try Nicoloa's near the old town section...fairly close to the new stadium. A real hole in the wall family owned restaurant, but some of the best lasagna I've ever had.

Best steak you'll ever have....Omaha Prime in the Old Market near the new ballpark. Expensive, but well worth it!

Woody, if you have time swing by Omaha. You can pick up Buffett's childhood home...it just went on the market. You might find a few hundred thousand laying around somewhere.

Don't know if we will make it this year? Here in Iowa we are only halfway through our season, and with all the rain it has been hard to know if you will have a day off during the week? I don't think it will have the same feel as Rosenblatt, but look forward to the new ballpark. Hopefully they will get everything in without any problems fron the flooding. If we have a free day may hop in the car and head over. Only a little over an hour drive from home and can make a day of it.
Ok, went downtown today after my son's youth tournament games. Went in to watch Texas A&M practice. Then checked out the tents.
The park is beautiful. Is it nicer than Rosenblatt? Sure. Is it better? Well, that will have to be judged by you.
What really appealed to me at the Blatt was parking in someone's yard and walking up and down the hill on 13th Street checking out all of the merchandise tents. Everything was all along the street and was easy to peruse.
Downtown, it's a mess. They have several areas of tents that don't seem to be too organized. The one big lot that seems to have the most tents is dominated by food and is split by a RR track so you have to walk a block to get it. The Nike store is three blocks away all by itself.
Parking on Day 1 (no games) was remarkably smooth. We paid $10 and had to walk about 3 blocks to the field. We'll see tomorrow.
My boys have tickets to the Florida - Texas game so I'll have more park reviews after the that.
So far my ratings are:
Park - 8 out of 10 (because I'm sentimental for the Blatt)
Merchandise - 4 out of 10
Accessibility - 8 out of 10
Entire experience - 99 out of 10 - CWS is the best!!!!!

Keep in mind this is the first year in a new location. Lots of kinks will get worked out between year one and year two. Make sure you pick up a Runza!

Hehe. A great fast food sandwich. Ground beef and cabbage. You have to try one. They are all over town. You will love it. And, Godfather's Pizza and Valentinos is pretty good too!

It may not be the officially sanctioned and licensed NCAA© counting book, but it's good. An easy read, lots of pictures. You'll come away knowing most everything you need to know about counting and more! It's both fun and for active minds! And if there's something that bothers you, like 4 - 2 = 3 for example, you can just wipe it off...right up your alley papi! Take it to the new ballpark...you'll be the talk of section 1-2-3!

That was the best. We parked in someone's yard, couldn't miss that we were Tiger fans, once they found out the association, I was surprised they didn't offer us a room that night. I'll bet the locals miss that too, that was some nice easy money for them, they always looked forward to this time of year. I liked the beer gardens in their backyards too.
The guys on the street the first few days usually selling unlicensed stuff from the teams. Each team has a committee that goes to each booth and writes up complaints and tells them to take away the copied stuff. I learned that as we bought caps that had the omaha in the Tiger paw and really cheap and found out the were not licensed copies. They may have cracked down in recent years on those vendors.

BTW, we went back down today and the tent situation isn't as bad as I felt yesterday. Just a little spread out. But there's a lot to see and many local establishments to visit as well.

If I make it over there this year Pappi am I sure to "lose" my car like I normally do after parking under some guys lean-to that is obscured by lots of, um yard art?

Parking was actually pretty good. Paid $15 today with a 3-block walk to the park.

Did Zesto's make it downtown yet? Heard they were going to build by the ballpark, but may have a temporary stand this year. Have to have a double-cheese burger, fries and chocolate shake.
Zestos has a tent but nothing permanent yet.
I will be out there tomorrow. My 16 year old is playing in the Battle of Omaha 19u tournament. We will be going to the CWS at some point during the trip.

Drove by this place but didn't have time to stop. Old Market is a pretty cool little area.

Does any have firsthand advice for General Admission seating? … We will be in Omaha Monday (6/27) and Tuesday (6/28) and plan on attending the games. GA appears to be most economical option, but does anyone know if that section has been filling up and people are being turned away at the gate? Or does anyone have a recommendation best way to buy tickets at fields?

I know several people who stood in line (for up to 2 hours) on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and got in. Definitely the cheapest way.
However, as the week goes on and teams get knocked out, I would think reserved tickets become more and more affordable.
The box office will even release some tickets in the morning.
