Does anybody have any experience with websites such as http://antonellibaseball.com/ or http://www.maximumbatspeed.com/ that allow you to send in video of your swing for them to analyze and provide recommendations for things to work on?  Have you found this to be a useful tool or just a waste of money?

I'm currently doing a course at baseball rebellion. I think it is good put you have to put in the work and do the drills, not just send a video once a week.

I'm not sure about antonelli. He was  a pro player who has recently learned from Tewksbary and others. He posts solid stuff but not sure how much he really buys in the modern stuff or whether he just changed for marketing reasons. I think 2 to 3 years ago he was still pretty much traditional.

He obviously knows more about baseball than about anyone though and it probably is not bad but if you look for an innovative modern stuff guy I would probably look into a guy like Tewks or BR because I know those guys spend 1000s of hours to study and develope their stuff.

That doesn't mean those new guys can't be good, maybe some of them just have a knack for teaching.

I know Matt very well, and not only is his service top notch, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone with higher character and integrity.  In a "travel baseball world" with a lot of people in it for the wrong reasons, Matt is in it for the right reasons.  He's an excellent teacher and an excellent person.  His background speaks for itself.  He's done some online analysis for some of our players and he is very thorough and articulate.

I suggest following his social media accounts as well. He puts out some great content on all aspects of the game.

I did a video analysis with "touchemall" or Matt Antonio.   I was very impressed with his knowledge of the swing.  I think he's very up to date and on par with teaching the high level pattern.  He does comparisons with mlb guys.  He makes suggestions on drills specific for the player.  He explains why the drills help as well as how to do the drills.

He isn't very quick to respond to questions imo.  He isn't very receptive to communication in general.  I had questions for him and by the time he replied to my email the questions were almost outdated for where I was at with my son and I had more.

I think in general he's really good, just keep in mind you won't get the same communication level that you will get with an in person instructor by any means.

Dom, what kind of review would you give baseball rebellion?  I am looking into them and thinking of starting a hitting and catching course.  What is the turnaround time from when you send in a video until they review and send you feedback?  Have you been happy with the level of instruction?

Takes about 3 to 4 days until you get the review and usually new drill.

I think it is really good. They really just try to fix one thing at a time and then move to the next thing. They start doing a lot of dry drills and then you progress over tee and live hitting.

They also have a thing called rebels rack to practice turning but you can do it with a broomstick too (personally I plagiarized a rebels rack for myself).
