As the Clemson- Miami game got out of control I changed to the Alabama-Ole Miss game to see John Plumlee lunging towards the goal line. He’s a QB and a CF. He also an engineering major.

Some people are just good in math. It can be improved but some are good with rather little training.

In my class there was a guy from Russia in 11th grade who was able to solve complex equations in his head and he would sometimes even correct the teacher on stuff.

Really math, music and chess are things that some guys are just born with. You still need to practice but There are 15 year old geniuses who can out math 27 year old STEM PhDs, those guys will just learn it easily.

Math is hard unless you are very talented, than it can be very easy.

I understand the math thing. Both my son and I majored in Quantitative Analytics. In high school I didn’t do my math homework. When asked to put my work on the board was when I did the problem. Even still, my IQ is below genius level.

If Plumlee is a genius he would be playing at a Stanford, not Ole Miss.

Maybe he is a genius but being from Mississippi just maybe thats where he wanted to go play and get a degree.

He didn't play enough baseball to determine any meaningful stats.

Maybe Coach Lane might not want him to play  baseball if things get back to normal.  However, he isn't the first college QB to play 2 sports in college and be successful.

More than likely because he played two sports in HS,  he was taught good time management skills, and unlike some other guys, he showed up to class and did the required work, which for most athletes has been for 7, 8 months, online only.
