What a stupid statement. There are several players from the metroplex playing there, All nice kids and first class acts. Every one of them.

I understand what you are saying, but, it is big time college baseball. If someone is 40 years old and always hated UT, ATM or OU it doesn't matter who the kids are, it is only about the uniform. I'm sure it was nothing personal from Texan, he just probably hates Augie.

Enjoy it while you can boys, it won't last. Maybe not this year, but Augie will get the pitching he needs.

And Kirk, the phrase "America's Team" is used to refer to the Team (school) that has been to more College World Series than any other and that would be the Horns.

In the same way the Cowboys are America's team... wherever they go they have legions of fans. All you have to do is go to Omaha for the CWS and you will witness the many people from other parts of the country rooting for Texas because they have been there so often. Trust me, I've seen it with my own "eyes."

No doubt Texas is one of the top baseball programs. It is also hard for me to root against them with all Dallas kids who we've played with, against and in the same organization over the years. Go Longhorns.

FO - you missed my point. I'm in no pain - it was very painful for Kirk (Sooner alum) to actually type "Go Longhorns"!

I was always partial to the Horns growing up.

After three years of Big 12 conference baseball, I think I mellowed some.

I really did learn to appreciate ALL the talented boys that play on those teams.
