My Son has an offer to play for the Newark Pilots (league Champs) in the new PGCBL.

He played in the Prospect League for the past 2 seasons, but his team may not be in operation next Summer.

He also has had offers from teams in the Great Lakes, MINK and Jayhawk leagues.

We would love to hear from anyone who played in the PGCBL this past Summer.

Cost is $500 with a host family or $1000 for a hotel suite with kitchen.

Was wondering about:

-facilities
-travel/transportation
-competitiveness
-scouts?
-etc,etc, etc

Thanks!

Sorry this is so late.

This story is old too, but it does provide some information. This League was formerly part of the NYCBL and slit off in Nov 2010.

quote:
"We had a great run with the NYCBL but felt that our model and those of other teams in the East were different than some of the teams in the NYCBL West," said Mohawks President Brian Spagnola, who is also acting as temporary president of the new league. "The idea to play in stadiums with large crowds and have players from large Division I schools is where we were hoping the NYCBL would go. After seeing only slow progress from the league as a whole in those areas, some of us felt it was time to move on.

Seven teams leave NYCBL, form Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League

Hope this helps
